Let me give you a situation: You're in a competitive match when your Cypher leaves the game. Someone that hasn't started a game yet could queue up for backfill/replacement for your Cypher, but they have to play as Cypher.
If this were to be a thing, there probably should be a small XP boost to make up for it.

Unpopular opinion: Old Immortal ranks were better(Immortal 1,2 and 3)
Don't get me wrong, I really like the leaderboard system, but I miss some ranks in between.
The skill difference in immortal is too big now.
Also, I feel like there's nothing really to achieve anymore. Radiant is far away once you're immo...
