So here’s an idea I got for a controller champion whose name would be Torch (I guess?).

Ability 1: Light

This ability would allow Torch to place a floating ball of light anywhere on the map (with the same system as Omen’s smokes). This ball of light would act as a semi-flash: when you look at it directly, your entire screen would go white, but by aiming away, the light would recede. If you had it in the corner of your screen, it would flash about a quarter of the screen and you would see fine otherwise. It would have a rather short area of effect (like a smoke) and if you’re out of this area, you would not be flashed even looking directly at it. This ball of light would be indestructible and last about as long as an omen smoke. Torch would be able to buy up to 2 or 3 (depending on what’s balanced).

Ability 2: Night path

This ability would create a dark path on the ground. Any person walking on that path would be both near-sighted and invisible. The effect would deactivate with the presence of a Light (they would simply negate each other). People walking on the path would also be briefly revealed by flashes, gun impacts, or by by shooting there gun. They would also gain back some vision. The path would only be able to be shot straight and about as long as a phoenix wall.

Ability 3: lantern explosion

Torch throws a lantern which will explode, flashing enemies and dealing damage in a small area of effect. The weight of the lantern would be about the same as a Viper smoke’s. The area of effect of the explosion would be a few meters. The lantern would need to be detonated or it would simply fall on the ground, and disappear after some time.

Ultimate ability: Night time

A large area of effect (the size of Harbor’s ult) would be applied with the Night path ability. Enemies within the ult would lose access to their mini map (as in Viper or Omen ult). It would last for a set amount of time and flash enemies when disappearing.
