For a while now, whenever I would play Valorant I would experience a major FPS drop every time I moved my mouse and I had no idea why.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, my roommate also gets the same mouse (Razer Death Adder v2 Pro) and he experienced the same problem so we concluded that the mouse was the issue.
I did some Googling and found that the polling rate your mouse uses can affect your FPS.
So I went into my Razer synapse and changed my polling rate from 1000 to 500 and my FPS no longer takes a huge hit and I can actually play this game again!
TLDR: If you have FPS drops when you move your mouse, lower your polling rate. I hope this helps someone!
