If you search with a team do you only find other teams ?

For example if I have a to5 and we que, do we only match up against other team of 5’s ? Same goes with to2 to3 to4 I’m curious how the matchmaking system works and how the teams get queued. If anyone knows that’d be great !

What are things in Valorant that should be common sense but aren't?

I think learning to realize when your flanking is not working. Some Yoru players will die flanking 9 times in a row, and yet think it's going to work the 10th time.
