I'd say my skill with this game is pretty decent/ok, but there were really times that I really turn monke mode after every game. Whenever I set myself on fire on a game, It's already a gamble whether I'll be on fire again or play like a bot. So I decided to change up my habits.
My routine before: OPEN VALO >>>> HOP INTO COMP >>>> LOSE BRAINCELLS >>>> LOSE EVEN MORE BRAINCELLS >>>> EXIT VALO
My routine now: OPEN VALO >>> 3 MIN WARMUP >>>> COMP >>>> WARMUP >>>> COMP >>>> WARMUP >>>> REPEAT
(i wont be able to explain this deeply so forgive me)
So basically thats the secret, just warmups. I watched somewhere that our brains tend to go autopilot mode when we don't set goals to achieve. When we do a warmup, our brain will be sort of engaged, so it keeps running consciously. My goals everytime I do a warmup is: Kill 50 bots with ghost while strafing, kill 50 bots with phantom while strafing, kill 50 bots with vandal while strafing. So for me I really think I need to warmup every after comp game because It helps keep my brain run consciously and not on autopilot mode.
Okay so thats all, My experience might be different to you since we all have different minds, but this is how I achieved consistency in valorant. I hope I can help your problems at being inconsistent.
You can see the inconsistency in my match history
You can see that in all my recent games, my kills never got in the 1 digit number unlike before.

It has been 2.5 years since deathmatch was released, and it is still terrible for a warmup. Reminds me of community csgo deathmatch.
