Firstly, this is a psuedo-second part to my previous post on my profile regarding the idea of introducing Challenges that allow players to unlock Upgrades to Weapon Skins instead of having to use Radianite.
The main concern with this idea is that players would then be forced to use said weapons, such as the Frenzy or Shorty, which could, and more than likely would, result in players throwing games for Challenges which is not okay in a game as competitive as Valorant.
A friend brought up a simple and effective solution; keep the Radianite system as is, BUT introduce Challenges similar to Daily & Weekly Challenges already in the game, but have the newly introduced Challenges reward Radianite.
The current ways to "earn" Radianite are beyond limited, with only 30 Radianite Points being available to F2P players in the Battle Pass each Act. Top Skins like the RGX Skins cost 85 Radianite to fully upgrade meaning to upgrade ONE Weapon Skin to it's maximum and get what you paid for, F2P players must wait literal MONTHS.
Obviously paid players can get 160 Radianite Points via the Battle Pass, but that's still only enough to fully upgrade ONE OR TWO Weapon Skin, which is still abysmal. If a player had played since Day 1 of Valorant and completed every single Battle Pass and paid for the Premium Version of the Battle Pass, they would only have 1760 Radianite, which assuming Weapon Skins cost around 80 Radianite Points on average, would only be enough to have fully upgrade 22 Weapon Skins with no Radianite left over.
I like this solution/idea more than my previous post's idea as players wouldn't be forced to use specific weapons and therefore much less likely to throw games.
Please share your thoughts and/or suggestions.
