Hello folks 🐥 I just read a post about how teamwork is extremely satisfying and saw a comment about how someone IGL'd to some awesome rank. And that brought up a question for me that has been bothering me for a lengthy while.

I definitely am practically speaking not the best player. I do have awesome crosshair placement and great hs% as well as the good trait of staying calm and collected, but I am really slow at reacting to stuff, fail at close range gunfights and struggle with a lot of other stuff (though I'm trying to work on it slowly!). What I do excel in though in my opinion is bringing a team together and having those randoms play together as a team!

As the other post said, it's super satisfying, very rewarding and just makes the entire game more enjoyable. My calls are not always perfect (defo not.) but it's always better to have some sort of plan rather than just blindly running in, guns up, crosshairs down and brain off.

The biggest issue, in my opinion, is that I am a girl. Because of my not always optimal execution of plays I usually mid frag - which imo is totally okay. But it just feels like that if I am not top fragging, many people just don't take me serious. I've not experienced specific insults towards my gender as of now, or not enough to be worth mentionable, but it does feel like I'm being taken less serious, if at all.

As I do see myself being able to IGL to a certain degree and I think it's one of my strengths, I think I should use that to its fullest to climb since you should play according to your strengths.

Do you have any tips / advice on how to IGL better? And, does anyone else experience the "not being taken seriously because I'm a girl" issue? If yes, what should I do to better the situation? I know that some games are just straight up hopeless in terms of that but I'm certain that I can do better in others. I'd be really grateful for advice on how I can bring a team together and work with each other to provide a better playing experience for all of my random team members that I'll never meet again 🐸 Maybe others have a different strategy to doing so that I don't know of yet 🐥
