I've played one match of Lotus and want to share my "Rapid Reactions" to the map. Please tell me if I am wildly off or somewhat on track. I also have not read any Reddit posts concerning the map so I have no real outside knowledge as I only play solo or with my girlfriend. If this is just another drop in the bucket I apologize.

Aesthetically, the map is beautiful, Couldn't be happier with it. Best looking map since breeze in my opinion.

Map Design, it feels like they broke away from a lot of the basic map designs that we saw in a lot in the earlier maps. Spawn, go left, go right, go middle, straight road connectors between sites etc. This map definitely feels like it has character. The door mechanic I didn't really use in my one match but I could see it being in the same realm as the door on fracture? Still not too sure about that.

Functionality, I enjoyed 2 of the 3 sites. It seems like B and C are both viable unlike on Haven where B is non existent. A, on the other hand, is a freaking nightmare. I suppose this is my Hot Take but I played chamber and held down A, solo, with an Op. First time ever on the map. With my teleport there were 5 different angles I was able to hold that was overlooking what I presume to be Long A, which makes it a nightmare to both smoke me off and dry peak me. This may be an overreaction but once we were attacking we did not go A, at all. Didn't even try to attack that side of the map. B and C I did not play on, just rotated through. Seemed like a dream map to play default on, got caught in a couple rotations on defense. Caught several defenders rotating on offense. First thought is that these 2 sites seemed diverse no real glaring issues.

Overall I like this map much more than release breeze, fracture or pearl. I think slotting it in over Bind is an upgrade. Bind had too many of its own issues. I think with a few minor tweaks here and there that this map has potential to be on of the most fun and competitive maps in the pool.
