For this entire act my winrate didn't go higher than 50%, but I went from bronze 3 to gold 2. I'm honestly wondering how and if it's possible for me to go higher like that too. I don't know if it's good MMR or do I just get team mvp at good times resulting in a lower rr loss, maybe just pure luck even?

i don't think riot thought through the reduction on rr points in competitive.
By the title i mean the psychological effect of keeping you engaged in the game.
