Is valorant's age restriction of 16+ there forareason?

My little brother wants to download this game, So he asked me to do it for him. He is under the age of 16. Is this restriction overly protective and its fine to play, or should I tell him that he is too young?

Why do the stats things always reset

So every time I open my game all the little Stat things I had put all change to something else is it a bug on my end and I'm not doing something right or is it the game
