Isn't this just a bit unfair?

I feel like if one person is left I shouldn't lose RR. I was playing a game where all teammates just quit after the 5th round and I still ended up losing 23 RR. Doesn't a 1 V 5 seems a bit unreasonable Riot? I feel like the match should automatically be terminated with less than 3 teammates minimum. I think I'm not wrong but let me know especially because I've experienced a lot of intentional throwing so I've been pretty tilted recently
