It has been 2.5 years since deathmatch was released, and it is still terrible for a warmup. Reminds me of community csgo deathmatch.

Inbefore someone says "use an aimtrainer". Okay what if I don't want to? Why not create a dm system, or even 1v1 system (which was teased ages ago), that actually works and feels good to use? With the current dm system, you're shot in the side, back, and double swung more times than not. Which besides a double swing, isn't very common in a typical match. It doesn't really ready you for any engagements that are actually in the game, on bomb sites.

Two solutions:

  1. Bring a 1v1 system out that basically gives us a sneaK's 1v1 ladder system to play. You join a server, and there are 40 users, all doing 1v1s on the same exact map as everyone else. You have 30-40 seconds to complete your round, if you lose you go down a tier, if you win you go up a tier. Great ways to get use to peeking and taking fights at map angles. Even non-map 1v1's would be useful for warmup moreso than the current dm.

Also take a peek here: I mocked up some 1v1's in the past. (Old suggestion post here)

  1. Retakes. Bring fast pace retakes similar to csgo's community server retakes. This teaches players how to defend, and attack many different types of plays in a short period of time. Warms you up for the map pool you're about to play, and gets you in the mindset of playing the game as it's intended.

I think these two solutions would be much better than a dm that doesn't really serve it's purpose. As there are quite a few issues with dm in it's current state, and valorant, alongside the community would benefit from having 1v1s/Retakes.
