so after watching NRG's seemingly crazy tactic of buying half armour on basically every gun round and watching Thinking Man's Valorant's video breaking it down, i decided to do some research about the damage numbers of each weapon in valorant and found that it is possible to gain an economic advantage over your enemies while not sacrificing much.

after looking at the difference between the half armour and full armour values, i concluded that you can buy half armour on gun rounds and basically take the same number of shots to kill, but anytime that the enemy team cannot buy rifles, it is more beneficial to buy full armour so that you take a few more shots to kill.
this may not be super applicable to low elo (iron to silver/gold) but above low elo this can net your team a massive economic advantage, allowing you to be able to full buy every single round after the first 3 rounds. hope you found this useful!
edit: i forgot to mention that for this to be most effective, this should be a team decision.
