( Silver player here ) Why are Diamond and Plat players in Silver Elo after their placements?
I'm a Silver player and I keep seeing people who were Diamond or PLAT last act or the one prior to it.
And they're Silver, when the game is starting I can see the whatevernameitis Triangle with their previous ranks, it's PLAT / GOLD / SILV...

I had the best random Mate ever.
He was nice and polite the whole time. After every good play, he said something like "You're insane".
After the round he said "You guys are all insane, you deserve this win way more than I do" even though he was top fragger.
I don't remem...
