So I was trying to play in the afternoon, and lost twice, with close to bottom fragging.
I went for a ~1.1km jog, and played an escalation like 3 hours later. My gosh, the experience hit different. It was like I was a lot more alert, and I was able to lock my crosshair more reliably. Holy crap, it hit different.
I suggest you guys try it. Like some kind of exercise (in my case, it's cardio) and see whether it helps for you.

Does VALORANT have lore?
New to Valorant, sorry if this isn’t allowed. Basically I’m just wondering if there is any lore involved with this game and where I am able to find it if there is any.
