I received my first match penalty because my crappy Comcast internet went out and valorant thought I straight up quit.
I was able to log back in and finish the game but at that point the game was close to over and we ended up losing after 3 or so rounds.
I’m all for a harsh match penalty for quitting but does the game not know the difference between someone lagging out (and rejoining the game!) and someone quitting?
As someone who never leaves and always finishes out the game regardless of score, a 1 hour match penalty seemed excessive. I was ready to play more games tonight but my fun is spoiled all because of a 1st offense of lagging out.
What do you guys think about this and has anyone else experiences this? Is the harsh match penalty on a first offense fair?
