Disclaimer: This is from someone who has never modded subreddit.
As many of you guys are aware, this sub is flooded with posts that do not meet the minimal standards and break rules.
Prime examples being
- Gameplay clips posted on wrong days of the week
- Repetitive posts (Smurfs ruining the game, remake needs changes etc)
- Generic advice needed posts without required video or profile
I sometimes report these posts and it is frustrating to see no action taken against some of these posts.
The particular type of content that I want to discuss here mainly is Gameplay clips.
With current rules, Gameplay posts are only allowed on Wednesday and Saturday (on GMT). However, people just post gameplay clips on other day and some of these posts are not taken down after a day it had been posted.
This is why disabling Gameplay fialrs on wrong days or automatic/aggressive removal of posts with Gameplay flair is needed imo.
My intention of this post is discussion rather than suggestion. Of course I am happy is my idea gets implemented but I am mainly looking forward to hear the evaluation of my idea, especially from someone with experience with modding subreddit :)
