MMR makes no sense anymore

I've played 4 games in a row where in 3 of the games I've had one player on the other team getting 30+ kills and the rest of their teammates getting 13-15 kills. And one game where I got 27 and everybody else got single digit or 12 kills max.

What's the point of such an apparently amazing MMR system if it just puts us against players like that?
