my match history or: how i learned to stop trying to predict ranked movement and love the game

here is the image to understand what i mean

something far more nuanced but not included in the little infographic for brevity is the need to consider how score relates to game duration. every round youre not closing the game out, you are increasing the total duration and in turn decreasing your average combat score.

average combat score in the end is only real metric we can compare matches of our own to our own with, and as ive shown in the image with games with significant score differences but identical durations, even that wont spur a difference in arrows shown.

all of these games were played solo, so perceived group skill / averaged MMR (the amount i can personally control at least) does not play a role in these gains/losses. im simply looking to show that counting arrows (or soon to be complaining about why you only gained +10 lp when you mvp'd) is a fruitless activity and the amount of hidden variables and metrics that riot is tracking in its robust rating system is impossible to know and you shouldnt even try to figure it out. youre stressing yourself over nothing.

the only things you can trust are when the little picture goes up, or the little picture goes down.
