Ex-CSGO player (peaked Global Elite) from years back, and i want to start by saying i do NOT deserve a higher rank nor do i want it without earning it.

I only downloaded Val 6-9 months ago and have been loving it, but ever since this new act came out - i don’t like the game.

I peaked diamond 3 last act just playing casually with a friend, but now i’m gold 2 (bit of a harsh reset but i believe if you deserve your rank, you’ll naturally get there sooner or later) and i’m not complaining. If anything, i was keen to grind back up!

My problem is the actual matchmaking. 90% of the time there are no comms (biggest dealbreaker in a competitive 5 player team game), alongside heaps of smurfing, cheating and overall unbalanced matchmaking.

For example, yesterday i played with 0 comms on my team with the highest peak rank last act Diamond 2, but the enemy teams player cards are showing me they peaked ascendant?! We got SMASHED!

This is a pure example, and like i said in the opening line i do not believe i deserve a rank, but rather deserve better matchmaking. I don’t care if i lose the game if the team is comming and its close or we blatantly lose to skill gaps. But the constant mismatch in ranks, comms, smurfs and cheaters is insanely high and stopping me from playing.
