Is he Weak?
So in the past couples of days I have seen many posts about Harbor. Many of those posts talk about how he needs a buff or rework, or just talking about he isn't as strong as other agents, to which I agree. To some extent.
My Thoughts on him:
He isn't entirely weak, he is just currently in the same situation Phoenix was before Phoenix's blind was close to impossible to dodge. So Harbor doesn't need a rework, but maybe something with his ultimate and potentially towards his Cove, he would become a more viable agent.
It does bother me when enemies just stand in Harbor ultimate (Diamond to Ascendant lobbies), and nothing is done about it. They are not really forced to reposition due to the ultimate not really being that strong unlike other agents. I would consider Breach Ultimate and Stun to be significantly stronger than Harbor's ultimate. So I definitely think it needs a buff.
Potential Buffs?
[Cove]:
- [Idea 1]
- His Cove could have its health increased from 500 to 540. This allows it so it can take an extra (Vandal) bullet to destroy. Probably not the buff people are looking for though.
- [Idea 2]
- His Cove remains as a smoke after being destroyed for 1 second longer. So usually when the Cove is destroyed, it remains for 1 second before disappearing entirely, but what if that lasted for 2 seconds instead?
[Reckoning]:
- [Idea 1]:
- Reckoning strike stun speed reduced from 3 seconds to 2 seconds, but duration lasts for 8 seconds instead of 9 seconds. Due to striking every 2 seconds, there are now 4 strikes before it ends.
- [Idea 2]:
- Concussion radius increased from 4.5 metres to 5 metres, and windup time reduced from 1.35 seconds to 1.2 seconds. Concussion duration increased from 2 seconds to 2.20 seconds.
- [Idea 3]:
- Reduce ultimate charge points from 7 to 6, and increase its duration by 3 seconds, granting it 4 strikes; 1 strike every 3 seconds, up to 12 seconds.
- [Idea 4]:
- Reckoning concussion strikes now have an inner and an outer area. Centre to 2 metres in the strike, players are stunned for 1 second longer, and take 10 damage per strike. Players in the outer area take the original 2 second stun and no damage.
Best Idea in my opinion:
Considering that Harbor is an Attack-sided agent, I believe we should be given either Idea 3 or Idea 4 for his ultimate, 'Reckoning'. Whereas for his Cove, I believe we should get Idea 2. These two changes could change the way people see Harbor, and may bring a lot more players to try him, especially since he is no longer seen as a viable agent in most matches. Although, with Harbor and Gekko, the combination to them two are rather frustrating to deal with.
