I received some feedback this sub may be interested in this post too. I've been doing these breakdowns for big Valorant events pretty regularly.

I tracked viewership pretty hard for NA LCQ and figured I'd share some insights on it. The below are the matches I was able to grab and not all numbers are official, but they're the best I could do. I missed grabbing The Guard vs. Cloud 9 and Cloud9 vs NRG

  1. Sentinels vs. The Guard - 631,664
  2. Sentinels vs. 100T - 525,625
  3. Sentinels vs. Shopify - 457,259
  4. 100T vs. The Guard - 277,822
  5. 100T vs. Faze (match 1) - 238,029
  6. The Guard vs. Cloud9 - 224,804
  7. 100T vs. Faze (lower finals) - 218,512
  8. 100T vs. NRG - 192,656
  9. NRG vs. EG - 174,521
  10. Faze vs. EG - 169,848
  11. Faze vs. The Guard - 153799
  12. Cloud9 vs. Shopify - 136,613
  • Before this tournament, there were only 3 NA matches that didn't involve the Sentinels to hit 200k+ viewers and this tournament added 4 matches to that list. The previous were 100T vs. TSM (300,112) at 1st Strike, 100T vs. Immortals (299,479) at VCT 2021: Masters 1 and 100T vs. Cloud9 (214,189) VCT 2022: Stage 1

  • 100 Thieves now have 7 out of 8 of the highest NA non-Sentinels matches of all time. The only exception to that list was the Guard vs. Cloud9 match at LCQ

  • Sentinels & 100 Thieves now make up the top 15 most watched NA matches of all time and 24 of the top 25

  • The most viewed match at last year's LCQ would've been one of, if not the least, viewed match of this year's LCQ. Rise vs. Cloud9 135,803

    • Note: Last years LCQ took place from October 12th-October 31st. Last year's LCQ was a dumpster fire because it was supposed to be on LAN and then there were a ton of COVID related issues so it ended up finishing online 2 weeks later

Viewership for this tournament wasn't just nuts for Sentinels & 100T but for the tournament as a whole. The average viewership for this event nuts, it's the highest average viewership for any non-international tournament ever. It literally averaged 3+ times more than last year's LCQ. Below is a breakdown for NA Average viewership by tournament

  1. VCT 2022: NA LCQ - 218,714
  2. VCT 2021: NA Stage 1 Masters - 147,445
  3. VCT 2021: NA Stage 2 Challengers - 128,231
  4. VCT 2021: NA Stage 3 Challengers - 119,781
  5. VCT 2022: NA Stage 1 Challengers - 103,866
  6. VCT 2022: NA Stage 2 Challengers - 97,725
  7. VCT 2021: NA Last Chance Qualifier - 67,171
