CSGO player here (2800 elo faceit 6k hours) coming to valorant, ive played before but have total less than 100 hours, about 80, most of it just messing around with friends in silver / gold lobbies, dropping 30+ frags but recently started to take valorant a bit more seriously,.
This act i tryharded my placements and got placed plat 3. Ive been here for about 3 days, considering my history in csgo, well below my actual skill level but i feel like im just getting outplayed in terms of gamesense. Playing plat 3 and below, i can out aim and out frag and usually match mvp but i feel like at diamond and above, i get predicted at every angle and flank.
Is it just a limitation in game sense because i have limited play time and dont fully understand what common and uncommon angles are or is it more complicated? I understand this isnt csgo so im trying to learn from the ground up but I do understand timings, angle advantage, all that.
I know about the differences in movement and the little intricacies and am practicing that but im just looking for any other tips. Preferably from a csgo transfer because i might be making some common mistakes that they recognized way later on that might be impeding me.
