The derankers have realized that leaving games is not a fast and effective way to derank.

The new strategies are leaving your w key held down so you stay in the game and waiting for the eventual /ff even though you would need 5 votes. The trick is they are still in the game it's just in the background and once they see the ff they vote even though they've been walking into a corner the past 5 rounds.

The other strategy is purposely choosing jett to steal bomb, and again waiting for the eventual ff.

The other one I've now seen is a version of holding your w key down but this time not even bothering to ff and holding the team hostage for 13 rounds. This is the one that exposes the surrender vote and how worthless it is since you need 5 votes.

The remake window of 2 rounds is also worthless because even though there are good samaritans on the team willing to take the D/C you don't find out about the troll until after the first round at which point it is too late to D/C because you'll still remain in the game for the 2nd round and can't remake. Now I know that this is to avoid people purposely abusing this but it's still frustrating. This is low plat/high gold matchmaking it takes me a couple mins to queue at most. I would rather have teams abusing and having someone on their team dc so they can dodge if it meant we could also use it as a tool to counter these trolls. The remake takes nothing from me other than the 3 minute queue compared to being held hostage for at minimum 20-30 minutes.

As much as I want to fight the good fight and waste these people's time as much as they waste mine I also don't have the patience to stay and suffer through that more than once a day. Having matches like these just sour the rest of your experience and I'm forced to just play something else to avoid it. I want to enjoy and have fun with this game I really do, but the afk's, trolls, derankers, smurfs have put off friends from playing this game and it's starting to get to me as well. It's gotten to a point where if we hear someone even joke about throwing, smurfing, or trolling in general we will dodge no questions asked. That's how bad these experiences are that I'd rather take a queue ban than risk playing through that.

For the love of god it'd be nice to see something addressing this or plans to address it.
