I started Valorant 3 Weeks ago. I didn't have so much fun in a Shooter since CoD:UO-times.
I was expecting a lot of toxicity like in most other FPS-Games.
But people were patient and even offered me help, Tips and befriended me.
Of course there were a few kids trolling and some toxic people. But the overall Playerbase seemed nice.
Then rated Games happened....
And in 90 % of my rated Matches i was surrounded with people insulting and harassing others.
for every mistake on such a low rank.
Im not a saint, but i heard insults i would never use in my life.
i had a girl in my team and she befriended me and thanked me for being nice and told me she would quit this game because of that. even though she liked valorant.
I understand People want to win. But no one should act like that.
sometimes i tried to tell them they influence their teams mindset in a bad way and the team would lose motication and eventually lose, just because of this behaviour.
but all i get is a "STFU Kid.. go back to fortnite" (with much worse insults i cant write here...)
As a new Player it is really upsetting to stay motivated in competitive matches.
i will stick to val and look for nice teammates to party up with, though i see why many players leave the game because they cannot handle this behaviour.
Everybody learns and there are ranks for a reason. Riot made a great game in my opinion and i hope people get nicer when i climb up the ladder.
Just had to get it off my chest.

Please understand the role of your agent. Too many people pick Reyna or Phoenix for the ability to self heal, and end up lurking or baiting, instead of flashing in and being the first in the fight.
