Played my fair share of shooters, was diamond in overwatch. But I’m very new to valorant and never got into cs: go. My aim is probably my best skill so far I understand crosshairs placement and how to deal with recoil. But I’m wondering about positioning, strats for different maps, utility usage, how to make calls stuff like that. What do you think is the skill I need to work on first because I know if I try to focus on too many aspects of the game at once I’m gonna be pretty shit at all of them.

Uncap or cap FPS?
I run valorant on 250-350 fps uncapped, but my laptop's display refresh rate is 165hz.
Should I leave it on uncapped or cap my fps to my 165? Should I still be feeling the 300 fps smoothness even though my display's refresh rate is 165hz?...

Ranked Reset?
Two acts ago I was plat 3 when the season ended. I didn't play at all last act.
This act comes along, I win 4/5 placements, mvp in all 4 of the wins, and then place silver 1. Is there something I'm missing that happened behind the scenes?
