(This is only a suggestion. There is no magic agent that serves you victory in a platter. Gunplay and maneuverability is top priority irrespective of the agent. Personally, Omen gave me an advantage despite everyone being at the same low skill level. So in this post, I'm just explaining the "how".)
(I'm not advocating against duelists. Play them if it works for you. It personally did not work for me. I started with Neon, trained to push and get the first blood. But, at times, when I failed, my low elo teammates did not follow up to trade me. It did not matter if I top-fragged because we still lost the match.)
Right now, you need to focus on the basics: Gunplay, movement and map knowledge – Omen allows this at a calm yet steady pace. Other things like game sense, teamplay and agent knowledge is equally important but focussing on them wont really help in low elo right now.
As you begin to understand the game, it would be good for your mental if you die less, as controllers are not actively taking head on fights. Smokes make you feel safe and you can train without panicking. Controllers, in general, make you good with maps. You can make use of standard book moves that doesnt require skill rather than performing on-ground fast reflexed gunslinger moves.
Gunplay is top priority, but no need to be in the middle of the battlefield when you're just learning its basics.
The only downside is that there's a slight learning curve to Omen, if you're new to the role you might have started with Brim and the smoke mechanic is entirely different. But it's not as hard as it sounds. Once you get the hang of it, you can reap the following benefits:
They are not instalocking controllers
No one is picking controllers in low elo - generally speaking. Even if they are, Omen is not their go-to agent. So no need to worry about instalocking or pissing off those trigger-happy new players.
They are yet to learn about smokes
Since they are not picking controllers often, they are probably not vary of plays around smokes. Omen + Smoke + Shorty = free kill without skill. Yes, they will be stupid enough to shift walk into the smoke. Yes, they will do that multiple times. I'm not saying do this every round, but sit inside smokes once in a while. You'll see them before they see you - ALWAYS. It's easy to teleport in and out of smokes if things go south.
Moreover, you can just press E twice and make use of the fastest smoke in the game if you need immediate cover close up ahead.
They are not checking double boxes
You probably know this already because you play jett or raze a lot as a new player. I don't think I need to explain this much. Tp on top of them. Take a gun without traces and it will take some time for the enemy to spot you.
You wont be blinding your teammates
Well, sometimes you will. But how dare you call yourself low elo if you dont blind your mates once in every round? Anyways, it's not a pop flash so no need to worry about it getting into your friend's LoS. Just use it away from your buddies. Nevertheless, You wont be blinding yourself atleast. Plus it deafens the enemy too, so the newbies get paranoid easily.
Versatile kit
Being self-sufficient helps a lot in low elo cuz your teammates are mostly NPCs. He might be a controller on paper, but Omen can blind like an initiator and tp like a duelist. You can be stealthy and aggressive at the same time.
Spike insurance and death-proof recon
I'll be honest. Trying to get a 4K or an ace with the ult is risky for new players. In low elo, they dont check flanks, but they always do when Omen ults. So for now, it's best to save it for 2 things only - getting the spike back from risky spots and getting information without dying before you retake a site. Both these things do not require any skill.
