The biggest differences in skins I can notice is through the firing sound. This lead to notice that Phantom skins simply lack the vast diversity we can hear in the Vandals. The most iconic skins in the game as well are mostly Vandals (Prime, Reaver, Rgx, SoL, etc) and the 2.0 versions inspired by these began with Vandals and even after being delivered, never reached the popularity the Vandals have in the same skinlines. The only Iconic Phantom skin (Oni) reached its status purely through it's design and finisher. One would find no difference if the 2nd and 3rd levels suddenly vanished. It is also the reason why I never understood the hype around it. Phantoms all sound almost the exact same with little to no variation. Singularity and BlastX have been the only somewhat exceptions. The recent Reaver has been no exclusion either to my disappointment. Anyone else feel the same? If so, why do you think that might be?
