I'm in diamond right now and normally you would expect people there to take the game serious and at least do some callouts. But the amount of games where literally nobody says anything or just an occasional "rushing B" every few rounds is just baffling to me.
As a disclaimer I'm a person who likes tryharding in competitive games (in ranked modes). I think it makes the game so much more fun to be as strategic as possible with your team mates even if it doesn't work out sometimes. But going into a game and asking "Hey guys any plans where you wanna go?" and getting hard donowalled by every single team member instantly kills my mood for the rest of the match (and they keep saying nothing). Did I really climb all the way to diamond (I know it's not high) for this kind of gameplay? It feels like I'm playing in an AI game or spike rush or something, where people are just autopiloting and not caring about winning. Before starting Valorant I played some (!) Csgo and people there talked SO MUCH MORE even in gold nova. Yes they were toxic af, but they were trying their hardest to synergize with the team, at least in my experience.
What are your guys thoughts about this and do you experience the same? I know some people are not comfortable with talking but surely not the majority. I sadly do not have friends (in this skill level) to be able to tryhard with. My lower ranked friends wanna play ranked with me, but I don't want to support smurfing + boosting and playing unrated just doesn't feel the same...
