When I use a duellist and enter round after round, even going so far as planting the spike and basically putting myself on a plater for being killed first, my team will say I'm the worst player, I'm bad, etc etc because my k/d is bad. If I use Sage and stay back healing and res'ing and also being the designated spike planter.. again my team will say I'm a bad player, I suck, etc etc because I get killed a lot and cant pick up kills. Every kill I get in these situations is essentially hard earned because both situations I'm risking myself to enter/plant and in scenario 2 to try and stay alive to support my team with heals, etc.

But if I use any agent, and do stupid things like lurk and get flankers, bait team mates and end up on 25 soft kills, they praise me for being a carry, even if we lose. But I feel like I have done nothing except get cheap kills.

I don't know what higher elo is like, but I think all these people in Gold and below that seem to think kills are what this game is about and abuse people if they have a bad k/d, need to change their mindset. This is WHY they are stuck in low elo.

The first person in exposes where all the enemies are, and I'm happy to be that person if my team mates follow me in and clean up after me. A lot of the time if I don't enter, my whole team just stays in site entry points killing nobody, until the whole other team rotates on us from both sides and everyone gets sandwiched in there.

I don't really care about k/d, as long as we win. In these situations I measure what's going on. If I enter and they follow and can get the job done of clearing site and planting, then I'll keep doing it for the benefit of the team. But if I keep entering and they don't follow and I just keep getting banged by 3 defenders for nothing.. then I'll lurk or do other useless things and they think I'm awesome because I get 25 kills and we lose. I really don't get why people have these perceptions in this game.
