This may be a stupid idea but Phoenix is literally the only duelist with zero mobility abilities. Two of his abilities so far are controller like (wall that blocks vision and a molly to flush people out of corners). I honestly wouldn’t mind if the game reworked Phoenix’s abilities completely so he can really embrace a controller. First off is changing his flashes into a smoke (I’m thinking of an orb that he can drop and pick up anytime. He could re-use the orb ability to activate the orb into a smoke at the cost fire fuel. The fire fuel recharges). Next up is his ult. I’m thinking of cloud of fire which he could spread all around himself in different directions. Enemies who walk into the fire would have their health reduced to 1 hp and their vision would be nearsighted. Phoenix would be able to turn off his wall, smoke, and ult anytime he wants. What are your thoughts?
