The site randomly redirects you to malicious ads pretending to be Chrome support or McAfee Security, among others. The ads try to prompt you to click a download link or allow pop-ups on your browser.

And if you use their app or any extensions, I'd advise you stop immediately.

EDIT: I don't have screenshots because I exit the tab immediately, but if you'd like to reproduce the issue, simply leave the page open for 5 minutes and let it redirect you randomly! I'm also certain many of you have had this happen so you're welcome to vouch in the comments

EDIT 2: I've reproduced the issue by leaving a tracker.gg tab open on someone's profile, leaving it for 20 minutes, and interacting with the web page again by scrolling down. https://imgur.com/a/P8YTSF2

EDIT 4: Final edit, I may have been too aggressive with my phrasing. More than likely the site is vulnerable to cross site scripting and has been compromised. The JavaScript running is likely being stored or reflected by a third-party. This is not the first time something like this has happened - https://feedback.tracker.gg/t/your-website-is-compromised/7573. I maintain that this is an issue with the site itself, and it is not an issue with my personal computer’s security. It is the responsibility of the developers to keep their site secure. I’ve described my experiences in detail and I have nothing to gain by trying to take users away from this site or make things up. Getting into semantics, I acknowledge I was unfair to Tracker in calling this out as an issue with ads when in reality it’s an application security issue. This is also a new issue, one that has come up in the last week. That said, the implications are the same.
