I totally understand the need to put a limit on the distance between ranks that you can q with, but I think its a bit silly that you can then play with and against people that are just as far if not further.

For example if my d1 friend invites me to a lobby but we can't play because I'm a2 they shouldn't be able to solo q into a game and get a2 players on their team or the enemy team.

It doesn't make sense to me that we can't q together but if we q at the same time we could potentially get into game together.

To be clear I understand the concept of hidden mmr and that's how matches are found. But I don't think it makes a ton of sense that the lobby is restricted by visible mmr and the game itself does not hold the same restrictions.
