The highest ranked player here would not be able to queue with 5 of the players he matched with. The lowest ranked player here would not be able to queue with 5 of the players he matched with. We were all soloQ'd on my team.

I don't care what hidden MMR is or does, or whether this is appropriate given the hidden mmr of all the players. It is incredibly frustrating as a player to feel like your rank doesn't mean shit, and that all the little +15 and -18 and +21 etc that have added up to what you've achieved are completely meaningless and you're going to be placed randomly with people who achieved a higher rank and are on a downswing or people who just got a lucky streak and somehow get matched with someone more than two entire ranks above their own.

Who you're matched with should be based on rank, not hidden MMR, which should only be used to calculate your RR win/loss.
