Reasonable Phoenix Buff Idea

The new Phoenix buffs are pretty good, but I don't think it will be enough to bring him back into the meta. I was thinking of an additional set of buffs to Phoenix, along with the current set that has been announced in the PBE. If you don't know what the current buffs are, they are:

  • Duration of flash increased from 1.1sec to 1.5sec
  • Flash windup decreased from 0.7sec to 0.5sec
  • If he stops bending his blaze wall early, he will pull out his gun faster
  • He will now spawn back after his ultimate with the same amount of shield he had before casting.

My idea of a Phoenix buff is:

  • Adding combat stim and 15% movement speed to his molly, just like a brim's stim beacon, but it is only effective on himself.
  • Being able to cancel his ultimate, losing his extra life and keeping the same health, but he will not be spawned back at his ult location.

Phoenix is the only duelist who does not have a form of movement. Raze has her satchels, Jett has her dash and updraft, Neon has her sprint and slide, Yoru has his teleport, and Reyna has her dismiss. The fact that Phoenix doesn't have a form of movement means that he will not be able to entry as well as the other agents. This is why adding the extra speed means he can play more aggressively and entry better for his team. The extra combat stim will also help him win more gunfights when entrying.

Being able to cancel his ult is a good idea, because normally he would lose all the space he gained from his ult when it runs out, so if he can cancel it, it means he is able to keep the space he created for his team.

I believe these changes should make him a viable agent, and he would see more play in the meta. Please comment any suggestions and tell me if these changes will make him busted or not.
