Riot states that region lock makes the competition the same for everyone, but in reality just makes it more annoying to play with friends from other countries. On top of that it makes it more difficult for people moving between different continents. Spent over 200 dollars on my US account for skins since release, but I moved to a different country a few months ago and I guess that is too bad. Now I can only use my 200 dollar skins if I wish to deal with 200 ping from 3000 miles away. ffs just let us play in whichever region we want and reset our ranks if we decide to do so. Is there any viable reason why Riot decided to go about it this way?
