The wide killjoy banner has been a staple of this game since the change to horizontal banners, and it should remain to be like that. Unfortunately, Riot plans to ‘fix’ this by converting it into a ‘normal’ banner in patch 4.01, despite no issues being caused by having this unique banner as an option.

Riot is threatening to take away one of the most precious banners in the game.

This will negatively impact the community in multiple ways.

1. Wide killjoy is the funniest and most humorous banner, and no one can take that away from me or any of my friends.
2. Wide killjoy had many perks, such as being unique, quirky, and brings joy to other players in the match. This is most common as they are caught off guard and laugh at the funny killjoy as they load into their iron 2 competitive match.
3. There are no other 'wide' banners in the game. There is no gain to removing something that is completely unique in comparison to the other options available.

People never really appreciate features in games, until they are gone. I fear that is what will happen with the beloved wide killjoy banner unless we can convince Riot to do something about it.

For my final point, I ask all community members who own this banner to put it on. The more any Riot members see the funny killjoy in games, the more the message to keep it how it is will be spread. Let’s save wide killjoy.

Edit: Apparently patch 4.01 is being skipped according to this post here. The date of 4.01 (or 4/01) in American format (I’m Australian so i don’t know exactly) is also April fools, so the patch specified is either a typo, or they are keeping it in and scaring us.
