2 Months ago, Riot Crower made this comment in this thread pointing out how the European scene is getting treated terribly by appointing a tournament organizer that runs the format for First Strike (the most important even to date) in a best-of-1 format while other regions like North America had groupstages, double elimination Best-of-3 games and even groups while EVERY GAME WAS STREAMED.

Riot Crower promised in the thread it was a mistake and they would do better, forward 2 months later to the Champions Tour's challenger stage this week and once again the European teams are getting screwed over by a TO that runs a terrible format.

In North America, nerdstgamers is running the qualifiers for this event, in a double elimination format Best of 3 match. You lose one Bo3? Don't worry there will be another in lower bracket. 100T and TSM were both eliminated losing both bo3s however there will be another qualifier in a week running THE SAME format (double elim bo3s.) In Europe however it's completely different. There is no double elimination, there are no bo3s until the Ro64 and the worst thing? THE NEXT EU CHAMPIONS QUALIFIERS WILL BE ALL BO1's ONCE AGAIN UNTIL THE VERY END OF THE QUALIFIERS, EVEN AFTER PROMISING THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN.

Teams like Team Heretic (EU First Strike Winners) went out of the first qualifiers LOSING A BO1, there was no double elimination, no group stages NO BO3s. One bo1 loss and they WERE OUT.

The next qualifier, which starts in a week, will be ALL Bo1s until the round of 8 (semi finals) meaning teams will have to play and win SIX best-of-1s to make it to the bo3 stages, lose a single bo1? AND YOU'RE OUT. No Best of 3s, no double elimination, no streamed games like they have in the North American qualifiers FOR THE SAME EVENT

How is this still happening even after /u/RCrower acknowledged they messed up and will do better?

In North America nearly EVERY SINGLE MATCH GOT STREAMED while in Europe less than 5% of the matches have been streamed, and the 3 streams that do stream them (English/French/Spanish broadcast) ALL STREAM THE SAME MATCHES. It's understandable if Riot has partnerships with TV broadcasts but that does not mean the scene should suffer under such a terrible format, top teams who put in hours and hours into the game should not be out of the qualifiers to the biggest event up to date because of a single bo1 game loss.

It's a disgrace how the European Esports teams are being treated compared to other regions, especially compared to North America.

Please for the love of god get this noticed by a Riot employee, on top of this European teams had to still play on the old patch while CIS/Turkey (which start at nearly the same time) get to play on the newer more stable patch with countless of bug fixes like the omen TP hitbox, EU is being used a test play ground or just completely neglected.
