It is almost like in every 1 of 4 games, I come across players who will give up midway, go AFK, DC or for no reason at all start giving out our positions via chat to enemy team.

No idea if the reports are even effective as there is no further communication on said reports. I've only seen notifications pop up for reports on people using homophobic language.

Regardless of the notification, If there is no sizable consequence for this behavior, there is nothing stopping these people from correcting themselves.

I get to play barely 6-8 games a week and it is a waste of 30-40 mins spent in each such game.
