So this is something that happens either when playing with a full team of friends and when playing with randoms.

We decide to rush to site. We use our utility like smokes and flashes, someone (often the first person going in) dies and suddenly everyone get's scared to continue pushing on site. They just keep waiting and after a while our smokes are gone and the enemy team has rotated.

At this point the enemy knows where we are and we have no/few utility left, making the round very hard to win.

What can I do in a situation like this? Should I just go in myself and hope this encourages the team to go in as well?
