Best way to make sure I'm idle before shooting

Any tips for getting the timing down for when to shoot after standing still I'm really struggling to get the timing down of when I've stopped moving I seem to shoot before then any tips for tricks for this?

I just got 10 performance points

[I got 10 performance points.](https://imgur.com/a/4YJRoTJ) I thought you could only get uo to 5, so I was surprised when I got 10. It was a really good game for me.
