Hello,
I just moved VALORANT from an HDD partition to another. I stumbled upon some problems and managed to fix them, so I wanted to share the process allowing to do it quickly and safely :
NOTE : You will need to move all the "Riot Games" folder to your destination HDD partition as VALORANT's launcher still doesn't support the option to locate the game, and "The Riot Client" folder and the "Valorant" folder must be in the same "Riot Games" folder. This also means you'll need to move the other games directories (Ex. League of Legends).
In the following steps, (C:\) will be considered as the source HDD partition and (E:\) as the destination HDD partition.
Here are the steps to follow to achieve this :
- Move the Riot Games folder that contains VALORANT in your source HDD partition (C:\) to your destination HDD partition (E:\).
- Go to the VALORANT icon on your Desktop, right-click on it, and enter the "priorities" panel.
- Once in there, select the "shortcut" tab and in the "Target" and "Start in" rows, change your source HDD partition letter (C:\) by your destination HDD partition letter (E:\). Do this same step for your "League of Legends" Desktop icon in case you had it installed.
That's it.
