In my honest opinion, the shock dart damage nerfs were too hard. I can understand that a single shock dart doing 90dmg is too much but 71 dmg off-center almost completely renders any intricate play with Sova's damage utility useless especially if the enemy comp has healing abilities.

Additionally, why is it right for double shock dart lineups that require a wealth of skill to memorize and time perfectly leave enemies at ~20hp 90% of successful double shock hits while a Raze nade destroys all of a fully armored enemy with a simple toss?

Edit: “Lineups don’t require skill, it’s just memorization.” Learning and memorizing (all of them) is only the first step when it comes to lineups. To properly execute in real gameplay you need to know which selection of countless recon/shock dart lineup combinations for a specific location and time will have the highest yield of damage/scan output on the map throughout the round. That takes constant logical analyzation and predictions of patterns on the enemy team’s location and playstyle before, during, and after every second of every round just for setups that may change at any given time while also maintaining a healthy balance in gunfight opportunities. The ability to collectively achieve all of that consistently and effectively every game I believe takes lots of skill, intuition, and experience. But the perception of skill in Sova gameplay entirely depends on how far the player is willing to push the agents limits. I understand that many of you reading this might think I’m just some one trick who can’t get insta kills but guess what, I still do. It just sucks that I go so far to achieve all these prerequisites but despite that I still see my death recaps full of -117’s, -145’s or -220’s almost every round and most of those enemies get to live as if there’s no point to even using shock darts (:copium:).

I’m frustrated, and I feel it’d be safe to assume most of you would be too.
