When I first started playing valorant and got my first "free agent" I just sorta gravitated towards Omen. I mean, look at him.. he looks cool as hell. And for a long time he was the only agent Id ever play; even currently he still has the most play time out of all the agents.

Playing him now, after all the nerfs, buffs to viper, the Astra drop, just feels like he's not on the same level. His blind is strong but his regular tp is finnicky, his ult 8/10 is a free ticket to the spectator screen, his post plant potential compared to his counterparts is 0. His smokes feel like they arrive after the enemy has already taken site, unless you're on that site, while walking through an Astra smoke and there's almost always a suck/concuss behind it, walk through vipers and you get vulnerable and there's probably a molly in or behind it, Brims smokes lasts 3 business days. I personally think Astra beats him in terms of lurk potential, since she can instantly drop a smoke from anywhere, and they recharge every 15 seconds instead of 40.

(Also, I'm pretty sure Astra smokes recharge time "stack" so its like instead of waiting 15 seconds for 1 and then another 15 seconds for the next they charge around the same time, while omen has to wait 40 seconds for one and then 40 seconds for the next. I could be wrong but whatever.)

It just feels like Omen isn't strong enough to be a solo controller on most maps. I'm only plat, so don't kill me. By no means am I saying that he isn't fun to play. He has plays that he can make on the Y-axis that his counterparts cant, he can be on place and then another, his outplays and other cheeky antics feel amazing, and ive had my fair share of 30 bombs where the enemy team swore I was flexinja, it just feels like he's stuck in an awkward position.

He's like a pseudo duelist/controller. Smokes aren't fast enough to be jett but also arent strong enough to beat his counterparts, ult can get information but not as well as yoru's can and doesn't really do much in terms of post plant like his counterparts aside from occasionally confusing the enemy. Its almost like omen got the Phoenix treatment lol. Idk, I know riot mentioned spending the next year working on their agent balancing, but what do you guys think Omen needs/is missing? Or am I the only one who feels this way?
