Stop Talking

Hi all.

I have spent the past two years playing valorant. Regardless of how people play, the many messages and forum posts about things that I have came to be shared, there is sosmthing I have noticed in these threads bar a few other topics.

Communications.

I hear you say "But wait, people talk about about the lack of communication... No one talks..." and so forth.

Yet, something I have encountered in games, and a few others in which I've found also, the other end of that. Those who utter the words :

"You talk too much."

Im aware that some people can be annoying, some fights can happen and sometimes people are mememing around. However, one thing I try my best to do is play tactics. I'm not discrediting anyone however I am plat so my opinion is just as valid as that of radient is that to iron.

Some ways I communicate are thus :

"Hey, I'm going to Ult here, play off me" "It seems they push hard every round, let's hold angles" "they flank behind us a lot, let's pick them off"

I think I should give an anecdote here - A game I had (solo Queue) that had 5 duelist on the enemies. First thing I said is "Hey, I think they may play aggressive on defensive, what would you know, come defence they pushed and flanked every round (Mind you Map was icebox)

Now I said along the lines thus : " I think we should play for picks. Raze is always B, I'll hold there. Jett seems to push with reyna mid and phoenix and neon are alone A, maybe we could hold some angles, awkward ones, so they don't expect it."

Not only was I told to "Stop talking" I was told after every possible tactic and look over of previous rounds (since we've no replay system) that I was giving, I shit you not, "Too much comms". To top it off, I was told also "Look at your KDA, sit down (as if KDA in plat is the least of my worries)

If I am to be personal here, from viewing high elo / Pro games / radient and immortal gameplay, this is HOW they play, they bounce off each other. I'm aware some people don't comm for various reasons but Holy mother Mary mother of God, how can someone complain about "Too many comms"

Now, on the bright side, I have had some few games in which people did not comm but actually took heed in where I thiught would work best for the team and not only did we win, we won by 13 - 4.

In essence, I think I just needed to explain my frustration with certain players. I think what people need to realise that when they, excuse my language, "Cry" about lack of communication (or call people cry babies in games for asking them to try something with them) it is beyond baffling and a winless battle when people give people trying to work as a team the same treatment to that as flaming the bottom of the board.
