Subtle FPS boost for CPU bottleneck

So I am currently playing with my MSI GL63 8RC with i5 8300h and GTX 1050 2GB with 12GB dual channel RAM. On paper, my specs is perfectly capable of pushing out 180+ FPS on Low settings. However, this is not the case because I only get around 120-130 FPS during matches which is frustrating for me because I can't fully utilize my 144hz monitor.

What I've found out is that by underclocking the GPU, I am able to slightly reduce the overall temperature of my laptop by 10° Ceslsius. Since this game really doesn't need a good GPU to run, underclocking my GPU didn't really affect the render performance. It did however reduce the temperature for my CPU causing it to perform slightly better minimizing the potential for thermal throttling.

Now at 1080p Low, I can run the game at a stable 144+ FPS with minor dips to 130 FPS at times. At 900p, this game runs at 150+ FPS no problem. This fix might only work for those that are bottlenecked by their slightly modern CPU (Valorant doesn't perform that well on multi threaded systems).
