I am new to Val and my friend told me to play some death matches but I get like 8 kills and only because they are looking the other way

I recently got killed by a vandal bodyshot when I had exactly 41hp, no shields. Also I got 140ed in a different match instead of having 10hp, I had 11? I have no idea but this stuff is happening constantly recently.
