Did you really earn it if you have to beg for it? Seriously though I've lost some rounds because someone wanted to ace but then ended up dying and not getting it

Coming from a game where our team won both pistols but my team didn't buy next round so we lost those rounds
I'm gold 3 and my entire team was gold with 1 silver and in this elo, players still don't understand how valorant economy works. We lost 13-11 so if team had bought in round two and won them, we could have won the game. Can anyone explain...

Why are the "top .1%" of Valorant players so bad?
I've been middling immortal peaking at radiant infrequently for the past few acts.
As someone who's played tons of different competitive games, (CS, league, OW, dota, etc) this is the only game where I notice players at the top of the rank...
