Reyna's a terrible character in professional play and high ELO lobbies, everyone knows that. Even then, a lot of people still play her in competitive play in order to grind the game and achieve higher ranks.
Since she's a character that brings lots of value to the one that plays her, and close to none to her team, she seems like the perfect agent for winning solo queue games without relying on your teammates. Even taking that into consideration, it might not be the case, and I'd like to bring to your attention the reason why that is.
If you play Reyna, your chances of top fragging and getting a higher ACS are understandably higher, and so because of multiple reasons. The first is that you bring no utility to your team, which leads to them underperforming a bit (so stop talktrashing to your teammates as Reyna if you do), the second is that, in contrary, you have utility that lets you get more kills in a round as soon as you get your first one, and multikills give much more points than getting 1 or 2 kills a round, you also have good survivability options, meaning less deaths, meaning higher K/D.
Now you're probably thinking, higher ACS and MVP = more RR when you win and less RR lost when you lose, and while that is true, and I'm speaking from experience, playing a character that brings no utility to your team most likely will lead to you losing more games. My point being that if you get -15rr when you lose and +25rr when you win, losing 2/3 games will still get you a -5rr summary. On the other hand, if you get -25rr when you lose but +15rr when you win while winning 2/3 games, you'll still get a summary of +5rr, which is much better than -5rr. (p.s.: I am in no way implying those values are absolute, I was just making an example with easy to understand numbers that make sense.)
I know a lot of Reyna mains look at their career full of MVP watermarks on their past games's vignettes and wonder why the latter are composed of a red carpet, me about 6 months ago included, well, now you know.
I also know there are exceptions to what I said here, but if you main Reyna, look at your career and you'll know wether or not you are one. I'm also talking mainly about decent Reyna players who use her utility accordingly and actually get lots of impact frags but still lose, if you lurk or don't even flash for your team and such, just start playing a Sentinel or play Unrated please.
Lastly, I'd like to point out that due to Phoenix's recent buffs, Reyna is now the worst agent in the entire game. The reason behind this post is that a lot of people still play her, so I thought someone had to explain why she's not even good at doing what people use her for.
TL;DR.: Contrary to popular belief, getting higher ACS and K/D because you play Reyna ≠ more RR because you're very likely to have a win rate of about 40% or lower considering your utility brings your team down by having only 4/5 people with utility that's useful to everyone.
