guessing that your aim has plateaud and you did an hour long research about it i can guess you know what myelin is . if you dont know what myelin is then a short summary is its a fat in your brain that makes sending signals to your muscles less costly and more efficient by acting as a insulator preventing energy wastage . i suggest you google what it is and the science of it . so basically myelin is responsible for muscle memory
so when a person is aiming , their brain will be in two states . either in the learning zone or in the performance zone . the reason you are a beast in deathmatch is because then your brain is in the performance zone . and no you cant be in the performance zone while in ranked no matter how much you try because your brain is busy juggling too much stuff , so dont bother .
what you can do is put your brain in the learning zone when aim training. the learning zone is a zone where your brain is busy trying to eliminate bad habits and trying to learn new ones . the learning zone is the most efficient way to produce myelin .
when aim training you want to be in the learning zone . some of you might think you are in the learning zone but you are not . you may start in the learning zone but after a while of doing the same thing again and again your brain automatically goes into the performance zone . if you go into the 'flow state ' when aim training that means you are in the performance zone or to put it simply if your brain goes into autopilot when aim training you go into the performance zone not the learning zone .
(why being in the performance zone is hindering improvement) :- when you are in the performance zone your brain isnt producing as much myelin because it believes that it is efficient enough at the task in hand , to go autopilot . thus aim training becomes less efficient because your brain thinks the scores its getting is good enough and further improvement isnt as necessary .
to prove my point when you were new to the game or when you tried out an aim routine for the first time you weren't going autopilot yet your rate of improvement was much more efficient and drastic .
(how to be in the learning zone) there are a few requirements to be in the learning zone . all of the requirements must be fulfilled to be in the learning zone .
-
the stakes of the task must be low .(and thats the reason why you cant be in the learning zone in ranked no matter how much you try)
-
you need to expect mistakes and accept them
-
you your goal needs to be to improve and not be be consistent . so (hypothetically) lets say you get 90k on gridshot in aimlabs . your goal should not be to get 90k 3 more times , it should be to get 100k .
-
you need to actively want and need to improve . this might seem a bit redundant but its the most important one . you need to consciously be trying to figure out ways to improve and want to improve every time you aim train . and i mean everytime . (hypothetically) lets say you want to break a wall with a hammer but you arent doing any bit of damage . instead of hitting the wall with the same force you need to hit it with greater and greater force to break it
some people might just read this and move on but please take this to heart . i tried this and my aim has significantly .there are more bits to being in the learning zone but this post is getting too long so if you want me to give a further explanation comment on it .
